Pep Guardiola insists he will stay with Manchester City despite their relegation amid financial rules allegations
Guardiola has signed a two-year contract extension that will keep him at City until 2027.
The 53-year-old has committ his future to the club despite no decision being made on the 115 Premier League charges City face until early next year.
The Citizens deny all charges, but the penalties if found guilty could range from huge fines to points deductions or even relegation.
Guardiola said 12 months ago he would be open to taking charge of City in League One if required and he reiterated that sentiment on Friday ahead of the Premier League clash with Spurs.
“I said that six months ago, you have my interview here,” the Man City boss said.
“I said when all the clubs were accusing us of doing something wrong and people were asking, ‘What happens if we get relegate?’ I’m here,”
“l don’t know where they’re going to put us, is it the Conference (Division 5)? But the next year we’ll be promot and promote again and again until we’re back in the Premier League.”
“I thought that Promotion ufabet way then and I feel the same way now.”
