Bruno Guimaraes admitted Newcastle were nervous before beating Chelsea 2-0 at St James’ Park,
despite showing no signs of anxiety on the pitch. The Magpies took an early lead when Sandro Tonali fired the Magpies ahead in the second minute, before Guimarães sealed a stoppage-
time winner as they looked set to close the gap on next season’s Champions League qualification.
Speaking after the game, Guimarães admitted his side were nervous heading into the game, saying:

Guimarães also believed his goal was a “special” one that would lift Newcastle’s spirits after a hard-fought second half by Chelsea, and urged the fans to get back to the team in the final stretch.
